Topalov Granted 2005 Chess Oscar

Journalists from 68 countries voted in this year’s edition of the chess Oscar organized by “64” chess magazine. The world champion was top of the list leaving the India’s Viswanathan Anand second.
Top 10 players were defined by a sum of points: 1st in the list – 13 points, 2nd – 11, 3rd – 9, 4th – 7….. 10th – 1 point

The Top three looks like this:

The Chess Oscar has been awarded since 1968. The first winner was Boris Spaski, and the list of most Oscars lead Gary Kasparov (11 titles) and Anatolii Karpov (9 titles). This is the first of Topalov. Congratulations Veselin!
