Topalov is king of the castle!

Mtel Masters, Sofia is one more time Topalov’s tournament. The world champion defeated his oponents and destroyed Kamsky’s and Anand’s hopes in the final games of the tournament.
Comeback, this is the only word that can describe Veselin’s performance at the super tournament in Sofia. And not only there. This year he had amazing comebacks in basically every tournament he participated in. At Mtel Masters 06 afterbeing at the botom of the table for several rounds he won after amazing games against Ponomariov, Anand, Kamsky, and Bacrot.
The French young GM was the last one to resign to the power of Topalov. In the last round Topalov gave Bacrot no options after a very strong opening.
Kamsky was also happy to keep the second place after he drew with Svidler. Anand was very disappointed to miss a clear victory against Ponomariov, and thus had to settle with the third place.
Well done at Mtel Masters 06 Veselin! Congratulations!
