World champion title match mania!

The world champion title that currently belongs to Veselin Topalov can be disputed by any player with 2700+ ELO. A month ago a match between Topalov and Kramnik (2729 ELO) was arranged to be played in Elista, the capital of Kalmykia. The match is scheduled for 13th of October 2006. Another challenge came on the way at the time Topalov was playing the first rounds of Mtel Masters 06. The Minister of Sport of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov and Topalov’s manager Silvio Danailov agreed on another championship title match. This time the opponent will be Teimour Radjabov (ELO 2717). Silvio Danailov once more proved to be a great manager. All the conditions of the world champion have been accepted and Topalov will receive a minimum of 1 million US dollars for the match.
